Other tests for the woman should include evaluation of the female pelvic organs for structural or obstructive abnormalities usually in the form of a pelvic examination, ultrasound, hysterosalpingography, hysteroscopy and/or laparoscopy, as well as culture testing for infections.

When these basic tests are performed, usually 85-90% of time an etiology to the infertility is discovered and can be treated. Unfortunately, this will still leaves 10-15% of couples who will then be classified as unexplained infertility.

Infertility Treatment Options
